We are pleased to introduce 2025 Erwin-Ramsey Fell We are pleased to introduce 2025 Erwin-Ramsey Fellow, Leopold Wehner!      Leopold is currently in the second year of his Masters program in Architecture at @aschool_uva. He has a keen interest in the negotiation between public space and urban infrastructure. As an avid trail user, he also believes in the power of recreational trails as linear public space.    During his Fellowship, Leopold will work closely with existing civic and non-profit institutions like the @rivannatrailsfoundation to expand the public interface with Charlottesville's unique and complex system of recreational trails; a system he has dubbed "a kind of half-wild, half-urban public backyard".   Specifically, Leopold's research will encompass a proposed restructuring of existing public-facing maps and wayfinding, a cartographic study of how the trails interact with the region's daily life, and a vision of the system's potential for years to come.   Stay tuned to see Leopold's completed research, coming soon!    #brwarchitects #architecturefellowship #urbantrails #uva #architecture #charlottesville #cville

BRW was well represented this year at the Haven's BRW was well represented this year at the Haven's Run for Home 8K Run/4K Walk—an event which has marked the start of race season in Charlottesville since 2010. 👏 A special shoutout to David Timmerman for finishing first in his age group! Introducing our Spring Intern, Yndeiah Kilby! Ynd Introducing our Spring Intern, Yndeiah Kilby! Yndeiah first came to BRW in 2019 as a high school mentee interested in pursuing a career in Architecture. Since shadowing our staff six years ago, she earned her Master of Architecture degree from Hampton University and became a Licensed Pharmacy Technician. In addition to her keen design eye, Yndeiah's warmth and professionalism is a delightful addition to the BRW studio. Throughout her internship, she will develop her portfolio while supporting the day-to-day operations of our firm. Named after our Principals’ hometowns, the Erwin-Ramsey Fellowship was established in 2018 to deepen architectural contributions to Charlottesville where we have worked for the past 40 years.
