Waqas joined brwarchitects in the Spring of 2024. In addition to being an accomplished Designer, he has quickly become the studio’s resident BIM and hardware expert. Waqas enjoys highly detailed projects and is passionate about working with clients to design their dream homes.

Waqas grew up in Baghdad, Iraq. He credits visits to construction sites with his Contractor father as his inspiration to pursue a career in Architecture. After relocating to Charlottesville with his family in 2013, Waqas went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Virginia.

In his free time, Waqas can be found playing video games with his friends, hiking with his girlfriend, or taking his motorcycle out for a scenic ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive.
